No Limit Hold’em Tournament Rules
To All Players:
Please read these rules carefully. Copies will be available at the tournament, however we’d like you to know, understand and agree to these rules prior to entering.
The entry fee is $70.00. (Only cash is accepted at the door for entry fees NOT PAID prior to the event). Buy in is $200.00 cash at the door. One $200.00 cash re-buy per Player. No more re-buys after the end of the dinner break. (See chart below). (Player may re-buy at any time after the first hand is dealt). Guest / Rail Bird fee is $25.00 and includes food, beverages and the right to play in side games.
The entry fees and rail-bird fees will cover the cost of the room, dealers, tournament director, food and beverages. (Rail Bird fees, $25.00, must be cash and will be accepted at the door). Entry fees are refundable up to 00:01 Wednesday, prior to the start date.
Your $200.00 buy in provides you with $2,000.00 in tournament play chips. Your $200.00 re-buy provides you with $3,000.00 in tournament chips. You may re-buy anytime after the first hand is dealt.
Initial seating assignment is determined by random draw. Each table is identified by a number, 1, 2, 3, etc. Each seat at the table is numbered 1 through 10. Should the waiting list (see rule #2) become necessary, each table will be kept balanced by the transfer of a player as needed. Where possible the table size will be kept to within one player.
The person to the immediate left of the button is the small blind. The person to the immediate left of the small blind is the big blind.
If the dealer exposes a player’s card on the deal, the player MAY NOT keep that card. The exposed card will be placed face up on the top of the deck and used as the burn card. If there is more than one exposed card, it is a misdeal.
No string bets. No splashing the pot. A string bet is an illegal bet in which a player puts some chips in the pot, and then reaches back to his stack for more, without first verbally stating the full amount of his/her bet. Splashing the pot is defined as throwing your chips into the pot so that the amount of the bet cannot be verified. All bets and calls will be placed in front of the player until the end of the betting round. Dealer verifies, “Pot’s right” and collects the chips prior to the deal of the next card.
A raise must be at least the amount of the previous bet or raise.
A bet and three raises are allowed. No limit on raises with only 2 players left in the hand.
Hold your hand until the player in front of you completes his action.
An absent player who is the small or big blind will have his/her cards dealt normally and their small or big blind WILL BE PLACED BY THE DEALER. If the player is still absent by the time it is his/her turn to act their hand will be declared dead and play will continue.
If 2 or more players go broke on the same hand, the player starting the hand with the largest amount of chips will finish in the higher tournament place for cash awards. If players started the hand with an identical amount of chips, both players tie for that rank and any prizes due to those players will be equally distributed between them.
In a split pot, the odd chip goes to the closest player to the left of the dealer
All players who are dealt a hand at their table have the right to see any called hand.
In a situation where there will be no more betting, Players are to turn all hole cards face up.
Cards Speak. Verbal declaration as to the content of a player’s hand is NOT Binding. At the discretion of the Tournament Director, any player intentionally miscalling their hand may have that hand eliminated from play.
A player must leave their seat immediately after being eliminated from the hand. The only exception to this rule is if the player is entitled to a re-buy and exercises his/her option to do so. In this case the dealer will hold the player’s seat until he/she returns.
If cards are bent or damaged, request deck change prior to the next deal.
If time becomes a factor near the end of the tournament, the blinds will be raised sooner than posted at the discretion of the director in order to speed up play.
When only three or less players are left at a table, the dealer will place the players at an available open seat on another table.
English only while hands are in play. Players, whether in the hand or not, and guests, (rail birds), may not discuss the hands until the action is complete. Players are obligated to protect the other players in the tournament at all times. Discussing cards discarded or hand possibilities are not allowed. A penalty may be given for discussion of hands during play.
In the event this tournament must be cancelled, any unused portion of the entry fees (for example a room deposit etc.), will be returned equally to all players. The Tournament Director retains the right to alter the tournament in a manner fair to all players. In the case of disputes the Tournament Director’s decision is final.
Total entrants and re-buys will determine the final payout amounts and number of places paid. Payouts will be prorated accordingly. Total payouts will be posted in plain view of all players after the re-buy period has closed.
The total number of places and percentages paid may increase or decrease at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
These amounts are determined based on the total number of actual buy-ins and re-buys.
100% (One Hundred Percent) of buy-ins and re-buys are always paid back to the players.
We are employing the "Singer" rule of calculation which guarantees that "last place" finishers will receive an amount equal to an initial buy-in, re-buy and entry fee.

VOLUNTEERS:
We would like to have a few volunteers to act as hosts or hostesses. The hosts / hostesses would be asked to help with sign ups, bring contestants food or beverages during play, clear tables, etc.
If you would like to volunteer please use the "Contact Us" link on the home page and let us know. You will be contacted right away. All “non-contestant” volunteers are entitled to full tournament amenities at no charge.
By participating in this tournament, you agree to abide by the rules and behave in a courteous manner. A violator may be verbally warned, suspended from play for a certain length of time, or disqualified from the tournament and/or future events at the discretion of the Director. Chips from a disqualified participant will be removed from play and their value will remain in the prize pool.
Final Note:
The chips used in this tournament have no real monetary value. Chips will not be redeemed for actual cash. Chips are used only as a “benchmark” to track the strategy of individual players and must be returned at the end of the event.
